Did you know there is 1 death every 11 minutes related to suicide? Did you know suicide is a leading cause of death in the United States? Did you know that suicide effects everyone? In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month, the Central Texas Association of Black Social Workers hosted a webinar to promote awareness around suicide and suicide prevention. The guest speaker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Kattina D. Bryant, provided insight on the topic to debunk ongoing myths and to emphasize the ways of helping. This episode re-presents this webinar with permission from the Central Texas Association of Black Social Workers.
